FAILURE RATES and the importance of an on-site warranty

The computer industry has a failure rate of below 1% for components. While this sounds very low you must consider that a computer system has 10 or more different components inside, therefore increasing the failure rate to anything around 10%. Thats 1 in 10 systems that could experience a hardware fault.

By careful selection of our components and stringent testing we have been able to keep this figure well below 5%. Although we have been informed that the industry failure rate on computer systems can exceed 1 in 10.

With an NWS on-site warranty you can simply call a 1300 number and organise for a Service Agent who comes out to you (there are over 3,500 Service Agents Aust Wide)

While a computer system with lower end components and an RTB (Return to base) warranty may be cheaper, the fact of having to return the computer to the retailer can be costly, timely and hugely inconvenient. For peace of mind and security always choose an on-site warranty.

All our Computer Systems NOW come with 12 Months ON-SITE Warranty, with options to upgrade to 24 & 36 Months On-Site. (excludes failures caused by software &/or misuse)

On-Site warranties are through NWS with over 3,000 service agents Australia Wide who come to YOU (not available in some remote regional areas - drop off locations are then available).

Should you have a hardware issue, you simply call NWS on 1300 765 860 and they will organise a service agent to come out to you.

All our computers include a Customer Guarantee period of 12 months. During this period, under the Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a remedy for any faults that occur (excluding causes such as user or environmental damage)
In order to give you additional protection, and better & faster service, we have additionally added a NWS Premium warranty. This NWS warranty means that you get local on-site service, much faster high priority service, and 'instant' parts replacement.

While every effort has been made in our extensive testing we cannot guarantee that this computer will run all and any software flawlessly. Please refer to the software/game manufacturer.

Software issues such as viruses, trojans, malware, incorrect and conflicting software & drivers are NOT covered under this or any warranty. Please bear in mind that no anti-virus program is 100% safe & secure.

Before calling NWS for service, please make certain that it is a hardware issue. The best way to do this is by reinstalling your operating system (Windows etc).NWS can and will charge for service if it is found not to be a Hardware related issue.

As a condition of your on-site warranty you must use a SURGE PROTECTOR at all times.

7 DAY D.O.A. period. Hardware failures within the D.O.A period MUST be logged with GR-TEK within the first 7 days of receiving your computer, NO LATER. If you report a problem that happened within the first 7 days to NWS, it will be deemed by NWS as a D.O.A and you will not get Warranty service from NWS.
