| Connecting your Wireless LAN in VISTA |

If you have a wireless LAN card or Wireless USB Dongle then follow these instructions in Vista Please make certain you have connected the aerial to your Wireless LAN card (at the rear of your computer, please refer to the picture on the Wireless LAN Box) |

Click on the Start Button (ORB) and Click on NETWORK as above
A Dialog Box will open. At the top you will see NETWORK AND SHARING CENTER. Click on it.
The NETWORK & SHARING Center will open. Click on MANAGE WIRELESS NETWORKS (Left hand column)
Click on ADD
Click on ADD A NETWORK THAT IS IN RANGE OF THIS COMPUTER
When you see your Wireless Access Point (as the example above) or Modem, Click on it and click on Connect. (The name of your Network would be different to the above "GR-TEK Computers" example) If you have WEP encryption then you will be asked for that number. (Please Note: For security purposes all Wireless Access points/modems should have WEP Encryption, please refer to your manual)
